My name is Shanna and I have been teaching music for over fifteen years. I first fell in love with music as a four year old, when my parents enrolled me in piano lessons to help with my anxiety…I have never looked back. I am trained in both classical and contemporary styles. I have experience in school & community choirs, various concert & jazz bands, church music groups, musicals, songwriting retreats and am currently a choir & handbell teacher at a local school along with the private lessons I offer from my home. I pride myself on being a creative blend of classical training and contemporary style. I am able to translate between both languages and I greatly value thoughtful collaboration with my students.

I was born and raised in Des Moines IA, overcame adolescence in Billings, MT and am now enjoying adulthood in Salt Lake City, UT. I live in the Cottonwood Heights area with my husband & son, where we plan to grow our family. In my free time I enjoy camping, reading, creative writing and relaxing with friends & family. My favorite color is yellow. Ducks are sweet. Winter is superior. Beagles are best.
